Paul Childerley: Building a New Digital Home for a Field Sports Brand

Paul Childerley

Field sports, media and personal brand

In short

Paul Childerley is a recognised field sports figure whose work spans experiences, training, photography, media and commercial partnerships. He needed a modern digital home that could bring all of it together in one professional platform. The AI Cyclops designed and built a completely new website — not a modification of the previous site — structuring the content around Paul’s personal brand while creating clearer routes for visitors to explore his work, partnerships and services. Paul owns his field sports expertise, editorial content, photography and partnerships; our contribution was the digital platform, structure and presentation.

01

The Challenge

Paul's brand spans several different areas of activity, and the digital challenge was bringing them together coherently in one place.

The practical challenges were

  • Bringing multiple parts of Paul's brand together in one place.
  • Creating a stronger digital presence.
  • Presenting photography and media professionally.
  • Making partnerships and affiliate relationships more visible.
  • Organising experiences, training, articles and gallery content clearly.
  • Creating better routes for enquiries and commercial opportunities.
  • Giving Paul and his admin team greater control over content.

No comment is made on the previous website's performance.

A New Digital Home for the Paul Childerley Brand

The AI Cyclops created a completely new website rather than modifying the previous site.

The platform brings together

  • Experiences
  • Training
  • Partnerships
  • Gallery
  • Media
  • Articles
  • Affiliate relationships
  • Enquiries

Needs Client Confirmation — which website sections may be described publicly, and the approved description of Paul's professional profile.

03

What We Did

The AI Cyclops planned, designed and built the new website across the following areas.

1

Website Strategy & Build

We planned and developed the new site end to end: site architecture, page hierarchy, navigation, mobile presentation, visual structure, calls to action, image-led design, user journey, route behaviour and content management. The objective was a site that reflects Paul's professional profile while remaining practical to manage day to day.

2

Personal Brand Positioning

The site was structured to present Paul clearly as a recognised individual brand rather than a generic business website, covering his expertise, field sports profile, photography, media activity, training, experiences and partnerships.

3

Gallery & Media Experience

We supported the presentation of Paul's photography and visual content — image galleries, expedition and location structure, consistent thumbnails, location presentation and location references, and media-rich pages — so the visual side of his work became a stronger part of the site experience.

4

Partnership & Affiliate Integration

The website was designed to support commercial partnerships and affiliate relationships professionally, including the Paul x Swazi partnership presentation and the Swazi affiliate link. The emphasis was on professional partner presentation, brand alignment and integrated affiliate links, without the site feeling like a shop and with Paul's personal brand kept central. No claims are made about affiliate revenue.

5

Admin & Lead Functionality

We created secure admin functionality to make the site easier to manage, covering lead management, analytics visibility, affiliate management, gallery management, expedition and location management, and content control. Needs Client Confirmation — which admin functionality is Live, what is In Development and what is Planned.

6

Instagram / Social Integration

The website was prepared to work alongside Paul's social content, including Instagram. Needs Client Confirmation — whether this integration is live or remains planned. It is not described as live until confirmed.

05

The Solution

AI-supported development

AI-supported methods were used within the project to assist with website planning, copy development, content organisation, user journey thinking, design iteration and the development workflow. This let Paul review real pages quickly rather than working from abstract plans.

Final creative and brand decisions remained human-led throughout, shaped by Paul's own profile and expertise.

06

The Outcome

Outcomes are stated qualitatively while measurable results await client approval.

  • A completely new professional website.
  • Clearer personal brand presentation.
  • Stronger organisation of media and photography.
  • Improved visibility of experiences and training.
  • More professional presentation of commercial partnerships.
  • Clearer routes for enquiries.
  • Stronger foundations for future content and affiliate activity.

No claims are made about traffic, audience, sales, enquiries, sponsorship value or affiliate revenue. None will be added without explicit written approval from Paul.

Business impact

Paul now has a stronger digital platform capable of supporting his personal brand, content, partnerships, training, experiences and future commercial opportunities from one central website.
